KUCHING: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian says there will be no contest for the party’s top five posts tomorrow (Dec 22).
Speaking at a press conference today, he said the party’s central secretariat did not receive more than five forms as the nomination closed at 4pm.
“We did not receive more names, so there is no contest for the top five posts. But we will come to the details tomorrow during the election,” he said after chairing the SUPP Central Committee Meeting (CWC) meeting at the party’s headquarters here.
The top five posts are president, secretary-general, two deputy presidents and treasurer.
A total of 517 SUPP delegates from across the state are expected at the party’s Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC) tomorrow for the election of Central Committee (CC).
