PUTRAJAYA: Five new Malaysian envoys called on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday at Perdana Putra building here.
Three of them were ambassadors, namely Jojie Samuel MC Samuel (Thailand), Datuk Ganeson Sivagurunathan (Austria) and Dr Shazelina Zainul Abidin (Senegal).
Two of them were high commissioners, namely Ikram Mohd Ibrahim (Pakistan) and Nur Izzah Wong Mee Choo (New Zealand).
Four other ambassadors namely Sharrina Abdullah (Switzerland), Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino (Italy), Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin (Qatar) and Astanah Banu Shri Abdul Aziz (Morocco) could not attend because they have begun their duties in the respective countries.
The envoys received their instruments of appointment from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad V, on Nov 6 at Istana Negara. — Bernama
