LAHAD DATU: Members of the public, especially businessmen have been reminded to be wary of a guy introducing himself as the owner of Fajar Hotel here with the intention to scam his victims.
The hotel’s owner said he received complaints recently that some traders who were allegedly deceived by an individual who introduced himself as Simon from Fajar Hotel.
The individual was allegedly using the name to make reservation, canopy installation, food catering and others.
“The individual will then ask the victim to bank in money to an account which will be used for the reservation at my hotel.
“Those who receive a phone call from an individual who introduce himself as Simon from Fajar Hotel should get clarification from the hotel before agreeing with him for whatever business,” said the hotel owner.
“The public could contact Fajar Hotel at 0112-6896657 and 089-881112 for clarification.”
The hotel owner hoped that the relevant authorities would take immediate action against the pretender.
