KUCHING: Mydin Petra Jaya is giving opening specials on selected items and discount vouchers from tenants up to Jan 28.
Opening specials include Morris pineapples at 88 sen each, yellow big onion at 98 sen per kg, whole chicken (with head and feet) at RM5.98, Indocafe Coffeemix 3 in 1 at RM7.88, Pran fruit juice 3x1ltr at RM9.88, Huggies dry pants mega at RM27.88 and Milo Active Go 2.2kg with free Nescafe 240ml at RM31.88.
During the promotional period, Mydin voucher valued at RM5 is given for new registrations of Kad Meriah as well as card renewals.
There are presently more than 400,000 Kad Meriah holders in Malaysia who earn one point for every ringgit spent at Mydin outlets. The points accumulated can be redeemed for shopping vouchers.
Card members enjoy special price for selected products in Mydin and in Mydin’s partners such as Mata Klinik and Merdeka Palace (in Kuching), Grand Borneo (Kota Kinabalu) and Bukit Gambang Resort (Pahang).
In conjunction with the launch, Malaysia Handicraft Development Corporation Sarawak Branch is holding a promotion until Feb 4. A total of 52 handicraft entrepreneurs are showcasing their unique products.
A number of activities including zumba, dance performances and karaoke challenge are also organised to draw in the crowd.
There is a Darlie and Carrie Junior colouring contest at Mydin Petra Jaya with the appearance of mascots to entertain children.
Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah is expected to launch the jersey for Sarawak football team at Lea Centre, Mydin Petra Jaya tomorrow (Jan 28), followed by a meet-and-greet session with the state footballers.
