SIBU: The ‘BeliBeli24 Summit 2018’, to take place on the first floor of Sibu Civic Centre this Feb 11, from 9am to 4pm, will host line-up of fun, exciting and educational activities for visitors.

According to Solaku Enterprise managing director Mohd Hisham Khairul Nasir, the activities include a ‘Baby Crawling’ contest, the ‘TOP BeliBeli24 Customer Awards’, a poster colouring contest for secondary school students, colouring contest for primary school pupils, as well as the BeliBeli24 exhibition.

“There will also be a mass blood donation drive, open to members of the public, to be conducted by the staff of Sibu Hospital. We learn that the hospital’s blood bank is always in need of supply during every festive season, like the upcoming Chinese New Year.

“In this respect, we call upon all to help the blood bank. Donate blood – a drop would save lives,”he said when met yesterday.

Moreover, Mohd Hisham said the event would also serve as a platform for local vendors and businesses to promote and market their products.

For this edition of BeliBeli24 Summit, it has registered some 60 vendors.

He also said to make things more exciting, the first 100 visitors coming to any BeliBeli24 booth would each receive a ‘mystery gift’, on top of other giveaways.

“There will be up to 40 plus booths, offering a wide range of food and drinks and also other items.”

Adding on, Mohd Hisham said the event could be viewed as a ‘gathering of vendors and prospective vendors’.

“For the vendors themselves, there will be a line-up of programmes such as a special showcase, forums and talks.

“We will also have several invited guests such as the representatives of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) – the government-owned institution responsible for the management of the Malaysian Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), online shopping platform Shopee, FundedByMe – a crowd-funding portal based in Stockholm, Sweden, and Kodinar  Bhd – a company involved in Financial Technology (FinTech) Malaysia,” he listed out.

International Trade and E-Commerce Minister, who is also Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, is expected to officiate at the opening ceremony at 9.30am.
