Mydin Petra Jaya holds programmes in conjunction with its opening

KUCHING: Various activities were held at Mydin Petra Jaya Hypermarket yesterday in conjunction with its opening.

The activities included a colouring contest by Carrie Junior, which saw more than 20 children participate in the contest which offered prizes consisting of Carrie and Mydin products.

As part of its grand opening on Friday, Mydin prepared a series of exciting programmes for shoppers and the public.

Among the programmes held were traditional games, magic show, zumba dance, aerobics, clown appearance and cultural performances.

Among the distinguished patrons was Datin Patinggi Dato Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, wife of the Chief Minister whose presence surprised the other shoppers.

The excitement will continue today with programmes such as colouring contest, karaoke contest and a Gendang Melayu performance.

Sarawak Football Association (FAS) is also expected to reveal the Crocs 2018 team kit at Mydin outdoor stage.

The RM200 million hypermarket, Mydin’s third outlet in Sarawak opened its doors to the public on Friday.
