DALAT: Minister for Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah yesterday said she found it rather sad that the flood situation at SK Kg Klid/ Plajau Dalat had not improved.
She said information given to her was that the water had remained stagnant at six feet and three inches deep as at 10.30am yesterday.
“It is very sad. The water has not receded since 7.30am. The school was the earliest to be affected but the last to see any improvement in flood situation,” she lamented.
Fatimah, who is Dalat assemblywoman said the school had to remain closed because the classes, hostels, dining hall, and the pre-school section are still inundated.
She said some staffers including a teacher had been stationed to monitor the flood situation.
