EPF assures integrity of information, savings not compromised following fire

KUCHING: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has given assurance to its members that the integrity of their information and savings are not compromised following a fire in its building at Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya in Selangor today.

EPF’s corporate communications department in a statement today said the Petaling Jaya office and branch have been temporarily closed until further notice.

“The branch crisis management team is working with the Fire and Rescue Department to ensure that the fire does not spread to other levels or surrounding areas.

“Considering the safety of our customers and staff is our prime concern, total evacuation of the building has been taken, and office and counter services are closed.”

The statement further stated: “We would also like to assure members that there has been no compromise to data integrity or members savings in any manner.”

“We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and will provide an update once the branch is back in operations,” it added.

EPF advised members or employers who would like to conduct transactions with them to contact or visit the nearest branch that is their headquarters at Jalan Raja Laut.
