Exploring other fields in diversifying the economy help lessen the country’s dependence on oil and gas

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei Darussalam, including the people and residents residing in the country, needs to continue being active in its economic diversification by exploring other fields including agriculture, to ensure the country can reduce its dependency on Oil and Gas. Delivering the titah during the opening ceremony of the First Meeting of the 14th Legislative Council Session, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam highlighted the need for the country to be independent in the area of food. His Majesty’s titah received positive responses from several youths interviewed by RTB, brudirect.com reported.

His Majesty’s titah which highlighted the need to give greater attention and to study measures towards enforcing regulations and laws so that they are not taken lightly due to the government’s weakness, also received attention not only from government agencies, but also from the people in the country especially the youth, who all wish for the country’s harmony to be maintained.
