KUCHING: The Sukma shadow team launched their campaign in the new season of the Kuching Cricket League with a comprehensive win by 84 runs over INDus.
Fathul, along with Ikmal, raced to 70/1 off the first 13 overs.
INDus bowlers then pulled back in the middle overs, conceding just 40 more in next 10 overs.
Syukri and Amir provided the much needed impetus late to get the Sukma XI a total of 174 in 29.5 overs.
INDus openers Ajay and Vijay started off their innings on a positive note by hitting a flurry of boundaries in power play.
However, Nasrullah got them out in consecutive overs and INDus batting just fell apart as they failed to build a single partnership until it was too late and ended up well short of the target.
The star with the ball was Nasrullah who picked up three important wickets for 12 runs.
Other teams in this league are Kuching Cricket Club, Unimas, Sarawak Gladiators and Swinburne.
