IPG Rajang teams win several prizes at expo

SARIKEI: Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) Rajang Campus won several prizes at the recent Sarawak Invention, Innovation and Design Expo 2018 in Kuching.

Hi-Dicube (History Diorama Cube) – a project on the concept of learning history in the 21st century – won the ‘Best of the Best Award’ in Category B to receive RM1,000, a trophy, and certificates.

The project by Carl Nyjorie Gali, Amirul Hafiz Tazudin, Zakwan Hakim Hassan Azahari, Dyyien Aben, and Wong Mee Leng also won the teaching and learning innovation special award.

Another IPG Rajang Campus team with members Chong Lin Lin, Nor Sakinah Mohd Nizam, Wong Mee Leng, Noraihan Jamali, and Jane Nichelleyn Nedih won bronze medals for the project ‘Pizza Concept of Learning History in 21st century Education’.

IPG Rajang Campus Social Science Department head Lawrence Law said the institute entered four teams comprising 16 undergraduate students for the competition organised by the Universiti Technology Mara (UiTM) Sarawak Campus, state government, and Education Department.  Two teams competed in Category B (Invention, Innovation and Design), while the other two teams competed in Category D (Teaching and Learning Innovation).
