KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Hwang Asset Management Bhd (Affin Hwang AM) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, AIIMAN Asset Management Sdn Bhd (AIIMAN), have reaffirmed the commitment to environmental, social, governance (ESG) principles in the investment process as signatories to the Malaysian Code for Institutional Investors.
Affin Hwang AM and AIIMAN became signatories to the code on March 24, 2017 and March 22, 2017 respectively, they said in a joint statement yesterday.
Both pledged to uphold six principles stated in the code, namely disclosing policies on stewardship, monitoring, engaging investee companies, managing conflicts of interest, incorporating sustainability considerations and publishing a voting policy. — Bernama
