KUCHING: The Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) blood bank is currently running low on Type-A and Type-B blood.
In a press statement yesterday, the blood bank said the low supply is due to the increase in the number of patients receiving treatment at SGH.
“The blood donation campaign will be held this weekend at three locations around the city,” it said.
On Saturday, a blood donation drive will take place at Damai Beach Resort and Teluk Bandung in Santubong, from 9am to 1pm, and another at Vivacity Megamall from 10am to 3pm.
On Sunday, the campaign will head to the Glassroom, Level 2 of Boulevard Shopping Mall here, running from 10am to 3pm.
For those who may miss out the chance to donate this weekend, the donation counter at SGH blood bank is open on weekdays, from 8am to 4.30pm, including during lunch hour.
Parking spaces are also provided in front of the blood bank building to facilitate prospective donors.
