Vivacity Megamall Charity Run raises RM15,000

KUCHING: The first Vivacity Megamall Charity Run 2018 netted RM15,000 in donations.

A total of 1,800 people took part in the run held on Saturday.

The run was divided into 3km Fun Run and 7km category.

Prior to the flag-off, the donations were presented to representatives of five charitable bodies; Sarawak Society for Parents of Children with Special Needs (Pibakat), Association for the Welfare of Intellectually Disabled Children (Perkata), Salvation Army Kuching Children’s Home, Kuching Autistic Association and Sarawak Society for the Blind. They each received RM3,000.

The cheques were presented by Kuching South City Council Mayor Dato James Chan and witnessed by Vivacity centre manager Johnathan Naming.
