Lodge International School holds inaugural A-Level graduation

Lodge International School A-Level graduates throw their mortarboards to celebrate their graduation.

KUCHING: Lodge International School recently celebrated the outstanding achievements of its Cambridge International A-Level students with its first A-Level graduation ceremony.

The school in a statement yesterday said a record number of 55 students graduated
with more than over a third achieving straight As in the November 2017 AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary) examinations, the highest in the history of Lodge School.

Han Ye Ri and Allegra Chan Qin Hur were awarded ‘Top in Malaysia for AS-Level Biology’ and ‘Top in the World for AS-Level English Language’ respectively.

Han also won the inaugural Director’s Award for Academic and Extracurricular Excellence which highlights the student who combined academic and extracurricular excellence.

Lodge Group of Schools director Thomas Huo expressed his heartiest congratulations to the A-Level graduates, parents, teachers, and all whom have helped make this graduation ceremony a success.

“Graduation from high school marks the beginning of life as a young adult and our students have good foundation for academic pursuit at university level,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lodge International School principal Matthew Wee pointed out that the inaugural graduation recognised the talent, dedication and commitment of both learners and staff at Lodge School.

This stepping stone to
university has given Lodge School graduates the opportunity to study overseas including the US, UK, Singapore, Australia and Japan.
