KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg last night dismissed an allegation that most Petronas contracts worth RM2.1 billion being awarded to close relatives and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) members.

He repeatedly said “No” when approached by journalists at the old State Legislative Assembly complex in Petra Jaya here.

“No, no, no… No such thing,” he said when asked to clarify the allegation made by Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How against him during a public talk held in BDC last night.

When pressed whether there was any cronyism involved as far as the Petronas contracts were concerned, Abang Johari again said “No”.

He was quick to add: “Unless (it’s) Brooke Dockyard lah because my brother is chairman of Brooke Dockyard.”
