KUCHING: Petra Jaya incumbent Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof says the Barisan Nasional (BN) election machinery in Petra Jaya is going all out till the campaigning stops tomorrow and calls on voters not to be complacent.

“When complacency sets in, this could influence their decision to not come to vote on May 9,” said Fadillah when asked by reporters on his final preparations for the 14th general election after an event at the State Education Department yesterday.

On another note, he added the election machinery is also keeping a close eye on any activities which are regarded as ‘tidak betul’ (not right) from their opponents.

“Since before, there are a lot of tricks being pulled by our opponents such as spreading issues that have no basis and causing anger among the people,” said Fadillah who is also Minister of Works.

Fadillah is facing PKR’s Datuk Dr Nor Irwan Ahmad Nor and PAS candidate Hamdan Sani in this election.

In the 13th general election, Fadillah defended his seat with a majority of 21,443 votes against PKR’s Ahmad Nazib Johari.
