Entry ban for Peninsula-based politicians lifted

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s new Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal has ordered an immediate lift on the entry ban for Nurul Izzah and other Peninsula-based political figures.

This is part of his directives after being briefed by Sabah State Secretary Tan Sri Sukarti Wakiman at the Sabah State Administrative Complex here.

Shafie also told the press that he will leave the selection of Sabah federal cabinet ministers to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
When it comes to the state cabinet line-up, he said due consideration will be given to the qualified and confirmed that UPKO will be part and parcel of the new government.
