Kelvin Wan inspires UTM students with charity work

KUCHING: Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan was man of the night during the Golden Oldies Charity dinner organised by Persatuan Mahasiswa Sarawak (Massa) – a student’s association from UTM Skudai, Johor Bahru recently.

Wan who flew in to attend the dinner delivered an inspiring talk to the students as Hope Place was chosen as one of the three beneficiaries of the charity dinner besides Persatuan Kebajikan Orang Tua Ceria Johor Bahru and Persatuan Orang Buta Johor Bahru.

According to Hope Place, Massa found out about their activities through Facebook and decided to add them to their list of beneficiaries.

At the dinner, Wan received RM1,000 from Massa which was represented by their adviser Dr Helen Tan.

Meanwhile, Hope Place carries out their aid deliveries once every three months because of the 200 families on their recipients list.
