Fire destroys wooden house in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A wooden house at Kampung Betik here was destroyed in fire incident, about twenty minutes before the breaking of fast on Thursday.

District Fire and Rescue Department chief, Darren John said his department received an alert at 5.56pm.

Darren said eight firefighters with two fire engines were rushed to the scene and arrived at 6.12pm.

“The fire was put under control at 6.50pm before completely extinguish at 8.10pm,” he said, adding that the operation end shortly after that.

Darren said no casualty was reported in the incident.

He added that the Fire and Rescue Department is still investigating the cause of fire and losses.
