KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) will respect the law and cooperate with Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) in its investigation relating to the reports that 1MDB funds being channeled to the party, said party president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

The Local Government and Housing Minister was met by reporters after the Wesak Day celebration organised by Sarawak branch of Malaysian Buddhist Association here today.

Dr Sim said since SUPP youth chief Michael Tiang had responded to the report made by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Stampin branch youth chief Jeffrey Mok to MACC, he would respond at another suitable time in order not to cause confusion.

He also said that he remembered the advice of the former Chief Minister the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem that “we were given the mandate to govern and solve issues of the people, not to quarrel”.
