MIRI: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri is organising the second beach clean-up on June 30 at the Marina Parkcity to get the public involved in keeping the environment clean.

Tan said over 3,000 kilogrammes of waste was collected in their first clean-up with over 100 participants from Miri Local Agenda (LA21), various agencies, the general public and staff of the Miri City Council (MCC) led by its secretary Morshidi Fredrick.

Tan urged members of the public, agencies and private entities to join this second clean-up at Marina beach from 7:30am until 10am, adding that there is so much waste to be collected.

“Themed ‘Let’s Make Our Beaches Clean & Safe’, everyone who wants to lend a helping hand is welcomed. Some 200 participants are expected to make our beach cleaner and safer,” she said.
