KUCHING: The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports is inviting football fans to watch the World Cup final between France and Croatia live on big screen at the Celebration Square, Sarawak Stadium Complex in Petra Jaya tonight.
According to a press statement from the ministry, the event themed “Santai Belia Bersama Menteri: Tonton World Cup Final” will start at 8pm, with the registration commencing at 7.30pm.
Apart from celebrating the World Cup which will end on early Monday, the programme is also aimed at bringing youths together through activities organised by the Sarawak government.
At the same time, the ministry is also hoping that this kind of programme would instil among the youths the interest in football.
The Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his assistant Datuk Snowdan Lawan and Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman are expected to attend the programme.
Among the many fun activities prepared by the organisers for this programme are Shoot and Win Contest for men and women fans, Football Juggling Contest, World Cup Trivia Quiz and lucky draw.
