KOTA KINABALU: Upko acting president, Datuk Seri Panglima Wlifred Madius Tangau said the party’s former youth chief, Arthur Sen left on his own accord.

“We have no quarrel with him nor has he any quarrel with us. It is his decision,” said Tangau when asked about the matter at Hyatt Kinabalu yesterday.

He said that he had yet to speak to Arthur and that the latter had already submitted his resignation letter to the Upko Youth and that it had been accepted.

He felt that it was normal for people to resign and go somewhere else.

“That is normal, one person leaves, 100 people join in. Everyday we get new applications (to become members),” he said.

On the party’s treasurer general, Datuk Dr Marcus Makin Mojigoh’s claim that there were cracks in the party, Tangau told press members not to take Dr Marcus seriously.
