KUCHING: Two motorists were lucky not to have been injured after a large tree along Jalan Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui, near Taman Budaya fell on their vehicles yesterday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement said the two vehicles were travelling along the road when the incident happened around 7am.
“There was no report of injuries received and none of the drivers were trapped inside their respective vehicle.
“The incident however badly damaged both vehicles,” said the statement.
Firemen arrived at the scene shortly after receiving a distress call at 7.15am, and proceeded to remove the fallen tree to enable the resumption of the traffic flow.
