Lambir Hills National Park under water.

KUCHING: Lambir Hills National Park (LHNP) is temporarily closed to the public with immediate effect due to flooding.

According to a press statement from Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), incessant rain for the past few days has flooded the areas surrounding the national park, with fallen trees damaging and rendering the trails impassable.

It will re-open when the trails are cleared and repair works completed to make the national park safe for the public. SFC regrets any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the public for their understanding on the matter.

For further enquiries, contact Lambir Hills National Park Office at 085-471609. Alternatively, visit their website at www.sarawakforestry.com or Facebook’s page @sarawakforestry for more updates.
