Inner Wheel Club members plant a tree at the 11Ridgeway, Jalan Ong Tiang Swee.
KUCHING: The Inner Wheel Club of Kuching held a tree-planting campaign in conjunction with the installation of its new committee members yesterday.
Datuk Nancy Ho who is Inner Wheel District 331 chairman was guest of honour at the tree planting ceremony which was held at 11Ridgeway, Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here.
According to members of the club, the tree planting campaign was also to create and raise awareness on environmental conservation.
“The tree we planted today is a Crystal Fruit tree. We hope it would raise awareness on environmental conservation,” added club committee member Jane Lian.
Inner Wheel District 331 comprises clubs of Sarawak, Sabah and Singapore.
Meanwhile Cherilyn William Anyi is the incoming president of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuching.
