Association chips in to RM25,000 to Tabung Harapan

KOTA KINABALU: Persatuan Hoong Men Malaysia (Sabah) has stepped forward to help ease the nation’s financial burden by donating RM25,000 to Tabung Harapan Malaysia.
Its president, Tan Lai Tuan, announced the contribution at the celebration of Guan Di’S (Emperor Guan) birthday at their inanam premises on Sunday.

Tan said the donation signified the association’s patriotism and support for the patriotic fund-raising project.

“Hoong Men had always emphasised patriotism, righteousness and loyalty. In this very crucial time, we must take part to save our beloved country,” he said.

The RM25,000 was raised from members in the state.

Assistant Finance Minister Kenny Chua and Assistant Trade and Industry Minister Ben Chong received the donation and thanked the association for its kind gesture.

Also present was the treasurer of the association, Allifin Lim.
