Most areas in the state record moderate API readings at noon

KUCHING: Several areas in Sarawak recorded a generally moderate air pollutant index (API) readings noon today.

According to the Department of Environment (DOE) website, Samalaju registered an API reading of 62, Bintulu (72), Mukah (83), Sibu (74), Sarikei (52), Samarahan (52) dan Kuching (57) as at 12pm.

Miri still has a good API reading at 45.

API reading from 0 to 50 suggests good air condition while 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy), and 301 and above (dangerous).
