JULAU: Social gatherings, no matter how simple they are, provide excellent platform to bring cheer and refresh ourselves in the company of others as the occasions can give huge positive impact.
Meluan assemblyman Rolland Duat said this when officiating at a dinner gathering organised by Sarawak Medical Club, Julau branch at the Health Clinic here on Monday night.
“By sharing and taking part in the fun-filled activities such as group dance and karaoke, the participants can unwind and release work-related stress,” he opined, adding he believed the activities also provide them an informal space to exchange information or ideas to help solve problems they might have.
Considering the positive impact social gathering plays as a crucial factor to ensure an efficient delivery system, Rolland said gathering involving the various government agencies could be organized in the future.
For the next activity, he suggested a picnic to Ulu Skrang and agreed to cover part of the expenses.
“ I believe the combined social activity among the various departments would provide the staff an opportunity to establish friendship, understanding and cooperation thus helping to enhance their performances in the long run.
