The cattle were contributed by Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni, Assistant Minister of Women, Family and Childhood Development Rosey Yunus and Al-Muttaqin Mosque trust board chairman Dato Usop Sani Wahab.

The event was organised by the Bekenu Malay Charity Trust Board in collaboration with mosque’s management committee.

The sacrificial meat was later distributed to villagers of Kampung Dagang and Kampung Kelapa, as well as mosque committee members.

Also present were political secretaries to the chief minister Sarkawi Suhaili and Julani Mokhtar, as well as mosque management committee chairman Jamali Basri.

The four head of cattle are from a total of 10 contributed by the Sibuti Parliamentary Service Centre for this year’s Aidiladha celebration in the constituency.

Apart from mosques and suraus in Sibuti, the cattle were also provided to the 20th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment at Sri Miri Camp and Miri Prisons Department to conduct their respective sacrificial ceremony.
