DALAT: Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah has suggested that each village chief in her area appoint at least two youths to their respective village security and development committees.

The Dalat assemblywoman reasoned that the youths appointed to the committees could help in identifying the development needs for youths in Dalat.

Officiating at a Youth Transformation Programme closing ceremony in Dalat yesterday, she said various issues and solutions have been raised and suggested by youths participating in the programme such as job opportunities, educational assistance, internet access, laptops for students, transportation, health clinics, facilities such as futsal courts, football fields and other basic amenities.

A total of 103 youths participated in the programme.

During the event, Fatimah approved the application for laptops for the use of Form six students at SMK Oya and a futsal court at Kampung Senau here.
