KUCHING: Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday received a courtesy call from PKR president-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at his residence in Demak Jaya here.

A press statement said the purpose of Anwar’s visit was to inform Taib about the former’s two-day working visit to Sarawak and at the same time strengthen existing relationship.

This was Anwar’s first visit to Sarawak after Pakatan Harapan formed the new federal government in May.

Accompanying Anwar was Julau MP Larry Sng. Taib’s wife Toh Puan Dato’ Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib was also present during the visit.
