Sony’s latest WH-1000XM3 headphones boasts greater performance, latest audio tech

KUALA LUMPUR: At the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany recently, Sony unveiled an array of new products including its latest WH-1000XM3, the newest addition to the 1000X series of wireless noise cancelling headphones.

According to its press release, this new model boasts major improvements to its industry-leading Noise Cancellation technology with the newly-developed HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 to deliver approximately four times greater performance.

It pointed out that the newly-developed component can not only negate low-range noises from airplanes, but also further cancels mid to high-range noise such as street noise and human voices.

The inclusion of a high quality internal headphone amp for the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1 realises stunning high sound quality.

It said, users of the new headphones could comfortably immerse themselves in their music anytime, anywhere.

The latest WH-1000XM3 headphones also features smart technologies such as the Adaptive Sound Control, and the convenience of smart features including Quick Attention, Voice Assistant compatibility and touch control.

To complement its new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1, it also has a dedicated NC processor to ensure the reproduction of music is never compromised due to the processor’s performance.

Its wireless LDAC feature transmits approximately three times more data (at a maximum transfer rate of 990kbps) than conventional Bluetooth wireless audio, allowing users to enjoy its High-Resolution Audio content in exceptional quality, as close as possible to that of a dedicated wired connection.

Aside from that, the new headphoens comes equipped with a powerful 1.57 inch drivers with Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) diaphragms which makes the headphones perfect for handling heavy beats and it can also reproduce a full range of frequencies up to 40kHz.

The headphones also boasts a huge 30-hour battery life.

The WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones will be available soon in Malaysian markets.
