BINTULU: A man needed to be extricated from his car following a road accident at Mile 5 Bintulu-Miri road early yesterday.
The 42-year-old victim, who hails from Sungai Plan Baru at Jalan Tanjung Kidurong, was travelling alone when the incident happened around 4am.
His vehicle is said to have rammed into the rear of a trailer parked along the side of the road.
Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) were deployed to the scene and took several minutes to free the man from the driver’s seat.
The victim, who suffered facial injuries, was sent to Bintulu Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
