TAWAU: Efforts are being carried out to find a missing 8-year-old girl suspected to either drown or attacked by crocodile while bathing at Kalabakan River on Monday.
The search for Nur Aliyah Bt Ansar was conducted by recuers from Kalabakan Police Station, Marine Police, Tawau Fire and Rescue Department and Bomba volunteers from Kalabakan, and 60 villagers using boats.
District police chief ACP Fadil Marsus said the search and rescue operation started at 7pm till 10pm before it was called off due to dark weather and rising water for the safety of those involved in the search and rescue.
