MUKAH: A motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a car at KM27 Mukah-Balingian road on Wednesday.
District police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau said the deceased has been identified as Linggong Bujang, 59.
“The incident happened around 5.30pm when the victim, who was heading towards Mukah, made a sudden U-turn and was struck by a car driven by a woman.
He sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was sent to Mukah Hospital for a post-mortem,” he told reporters yesterday. The car driver did not sustain any injuries.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
