Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency in Miri seized some RM5,000 worth of fish from this local vessel caught illegally fishing offshore Miri.
MIRI: The Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has seized a local fishing vessel and its catch worth RM5,000 off northern Sarawak Tuesday.
The vessel was seized after it was found to have conducted illegal fishing activities, MMEA Miri chief Mohd Fauzi Othman said today.
He said that the vessel was seized and all six crew on board were arrested at about 10.50am approximately 4.3 nautical miles away from Kuala Niah.
