Golden Girls to hit Miri golf course in October

MIRI: Miri Golf Club (KGM) is organising the inaugural Golden Girls Golf Tournament on Oct 27-28 in conjunction with Visit Miri Year 2018.

According to the organising chairlady Susan Yee, the ladies tournament is open to amateur golfers including foreign players aged 50 and above.

Players will be divided into three categories namely Division 1 (handicap 1–18), Division 2 (19–28) and Division 3 (29 and above).

“Participants without an official MGA NHS (Malaysian Golf Association National Handicap System) handicap index are not eligible to participate in the handicap events. However, they are eligible to win prizes in the Gross Category,” Yee said.

“This is the first Golden Girls Golf in Miri and next year we are planning to make it bigger and name it Sarawak Golden Girls Golf,” she added.

Patron for the tournament is Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Datuk Wira Lorna Enan Muloon.

Entry fee is RM300 per participant which will cover the green fee, buggy, lunches, dinner and goody bags.

Closing date for registration is Oct 14 by 12 noon and all registration complete with the entry fee must be submitted directly to KGM.
