UCTS signs MoA with Chinese university

SIBU: University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU) yesterday.

Vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Khairuddin Abdul Hamid represented UCTS while deputy vice chancellor Professor Xie Wei represented NCWU, witnessed by chairman of UCTS Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh and Zhang Yang deputy consul general of People’s Republic of China in Kuching. Through the agreement, UCTS would establish NCWU Chinese Language Centre at UCTS.

In his address, Wong, who is Minister of International Trade and E-Commerce said UCTS is actively promoting foreign exchange to strengthen ties with different countries.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yang commended the relationship between UCTS and NCWU which shows that UCTS is growing to new heights.

NCWU is a public teaching and research university at Zhengzhou, Henan Province established in 1951, specialising in water resources and hydropower with engineering as its key programme.
