Firemen hard at work to put out the fire at Rumah Bada.
KAPIT: Another longhouse in Song District was razed in less than a week. Sixteen-door Rumah Bada by Sungai Song was destroyed in a fire around 6am yesterday.
The wooden section at the back of the semi-concrete single-story longhouse was completely destroyed. No casualty or injury was reported in the incident.
Bomba Song deployed seven firefighters to put out the fire using floating pump which drew water from the river, Sungai Song.
On Sept 25, 32-door Rumah Dangom Sanggai, Nanga Bakut, Katibas River was destroyed in a fire.
Officers of Welfare Department and relevant agencies here are now on the ground assisting the fire victims.
