The Naza Sorento after Fire and Rescue workers gad ensured that the fire was fully doused.
KUCHING: A Naza Sorento car caught fire at the Level 3 (Departure Hall) at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) earlier tonight at 8:10pm.
According to information from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Operation Centre, it was reported that the the engine is believed to be 100 per cent burnt and that the fire was put out by the car’s owner using two units of dry fire extinguishers, before the arrival of Bomba members.
Fire and Rescue Department Tabuan Jaya and 8 members of the Fire Rescue Team led by PBK II Anuar Mantali arrived at the location soon after to ensure that the fire was fully doused off.
Among others who assisted in putting out the fire, were KIA Auxilliary police and the Airport Fire and Rescue Department.
The cause of the fire to the Naza Sorento is still under investigation.
There was no casualties and the operation ended at 8:24pm.
