KUCHING: Lo Khere Chiang (SUPP-Batu Kitang) today denied that he used the word ‘bullshit’ during his debate on Wednesday and refused to retract the word that is recorded on Hansard.

The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman told the August House that “I’m a gentleman” and “I didn’t say bullshit”.

Lo declined to withdraw the word even after being asked repeatedly the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar to do so.

He even suggested to the House to just make an amendment on the Hansard from ‘bullshit’ to ‘rubbish’.

“The typist (stenographer) has listened wrongly. I didn’t hear it. Well, just change it (bullshit) to rubbish,” said Lo.

Asfia interrupted: “You meant to say that a slip of the tongue is not the fault of the mic.”

Lo immediately responded: “Yes, you are right.”

Despite Lo’s visible weak defence, Asfia insisted, “You withdraw. Withdraw.”

Prior to such exchange of words, Lo told the House that he did not mention the word ‘bullshit’ and that ‘it was wrongly recorded’ after Chiew Chiu Sing (DAP-Tanjong Batu) moved a motion, expecting Lo to retract the undesired word.
