“I congratulate those receiving excellence student awards. Education is our collective responsibility – the school, teachers, parents, students and the community.
“I am very happy to see a lot of improvement in this school over the years. Students are doing better with parents supporting the school. I hope you will continue the good work.
“As elected representatives, Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong (MP for Hulu Rajang), Wilson Nyabong Ijang (Pelagus assemblyman), Jefferson Jamit Unyat (Bukit Goram assemblyman) and myself will always do our best to support the school,” he said when officiating at the annual prize giving ceremony held at the school hall yesterday.
At the function, he announced RM 30,000 for the school’s parent-teacher association to carry out activities in 2019.
School principal Jarit Jarmit disclosed that 370 students received prizes and Certificates of Appreciation for their achievement in academic and curricular activities in 2018.
He thanked Jamit for allocating RM10,000 and Nanta for RM30,000 last year to to
carry out various activities including the prize giving ceremony.
Senior assistant Dewis Lidek, chairman of parent-teacher association Tuai Rumah Rachmon Seta, representative from Kapit Education Department Freddy Mike were also present.
