KUCHING: After 12 years being the prime standard form of contract in the Malaysian construction industry, Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) launched the new PAM Contract 2018 on April 2018.
The latest iteration of the contract covers the rights and duties of employers and contracts, matters materially affecting the regular progress of works, certificate of extension of time and retention period.
PAM Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) with the sponsorship by Cahya Mata Sarawak Cement Division is organising a half-day seminar in conjunction with the newly launched PAM Contract 2018.
The seminar aims to give a first-hand briefing on the new amendments to their members and other industrial practitioners such as engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers, contractors, developers and so on.
The seminar will be held on November 17, 2018 (Saturday) at The Waterfront Hotel from 9am to 12:30pm with lunch provided.
The seminar is also entitled for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
Limited copy of PAM Contract 2018 (with and without Quantities) will be available for sale at RM10 per copy during the seminar.
