GEORGE TOWN: A disciplinary teacher was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday with murdering his wife with a clothes rack last week.
Lim Fong Aun, 42, was charged with murdering T Shanti, a tuition teacher, by hitting her head with the clothes rack at their home in Taman Seri Indah, Jalan Abdul Arif, Ayer Itam here at 10pm last Nov 18.
However, no plea was recorded from Lim after the charge was read out to him before Magistrate L Umma Devi.
Lim was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code and faced the mandatory death sentence, upon conviction.
The court set Dec 27 for mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Mohamad Syafiq Mohd Sazali prosecuted, while Lim was represented by lawyer RSN Rayer. — Bernama
