KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Rights Day event to commemorate International Human Rights Day 2018 which was initially planned for today has been rescheduled to tomorrow.

The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) chairman, Tan Sri Razali Ismail, told reporters yesterday that the venue and time of the event, however, remain the same: Padang Timur in Petaling Jaya, from 9am-3pm.

He said the postponement was made on the advice of authorities.

He added that Suhakam will be inviting Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to attend the Sunday event. —Bernama
