KAPIT: Thousands attended a Christmas Eve mass and service at various churches here, such as the Anglican Church, Baptist Church, SIB Church, Methodist Church, and Catholic Church.
They came with their families and friends, overcrowding the churches to the brim.
This was followed by Christmas mass and services the following morning (Christmas Day), where a hive a activities were also held.
At the Holy Mary Immaculate Conception Church (Catholic Church), thousands of followers attended the Christmas Eve service from 8pm to 10pm.
In his message, Father Omuto said Christmas is a day when Christians the world over remember and rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ.
He appealed to the followers to strengthen their faith, and spread the good news of the Gospel to friends and relatives. He urged them to be brave Christians and live up the teachings of the Holy Bible.
