LIMBANG: A businesswoman here suffered facial injuries after she was allegedly slapped by her husband on Thursday evening over some misunderstanding.

Limbang District police chief Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai said upon arrival at their rented house at 11pm (Thursday), the man slapped his wife, 44, three times on the cheek
“Initial investigation showed that the suspect, 38, was furious when his wife and their son came home late from a friend’s house they were visiting. He said he had to look for them everywhere but could not find them.
“About 1pm the next day (Friday), the electrician suspect was again furious at his wife for changing the tyre of his car without his consent. He splashed her with hot soup causing her to suffer facial injuries. “
A police report was made at 2.49pm Friday and by 10.15pm the police detained the suspect at their rented house.
The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act 1994.
