KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah Umno leader and Sulaman assemblyman, Datuk Hajiji Haji Noor has shot down rumours that he along with several other leaders who left the federal based party would rejoin it.

“Join back UMNO? I don’t think so,” he told reporters at the Parti Bersatu Sabah Chinese New Year open house celebration at Wisma Hakka.

“Those who left will look for a new platform. We will not go back to UMNO,” he reiterated.

He also said that they will work with Parti Bersatu Sabah, Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah and Sabah Star under the Gabungan Bersatu Sabah.

Hajiji added that they still haven’t decided on which party they would join.

“We remain free. But our cooperation with GBS will continue… We are still considering. We will dream for one more month,” he said.

He also shot down the possibility of them joining Warisan Sabah.

Hajiji was also confident in expressing that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia will come to Sabah.

“The party will come to Sabah. I can assure you very soon,” he said.

He then wished all a happy Chinese New Year.
